PC Liberalism and Islam

How are these two things connected?  Well, let’s take a look at what has happened in the news over the last couple weeks.  There has been an incident where a very crappy video was made mocking Islam and the their prophet, Muhammad.  This video was awful in every way.  Bad cinematography, bad acting, bad writing, there was nothing good about it.  However, in response, the butt-hurt Muslims who won’t let anybody have any opinion about their religion that is in the negative have been rioting all over the world, and have even brutally killed four people.

Meanwhile, back in America, what has been the typical response to this?  Well, ironically, more than should ever been expected, the government and the left-wing public seem to want to demonize these filmmakers, rather than the extremist monsters who have brutally killed four innocent people.  The question that should be asked when hearing that fact is – what?!  Why?

If two people are arguing over which Transformers movie is better (they all suck, but just go with it), and one of them decides to kill the other, was it Michael Bay’s fault for making those crappy movies?  Is he responsible for the murder of one person by other person?  What if the killer brutally raped and them eviscerated the other person?  Would it be Michael Bay’s fault then?  Of course not.  The fault is with the person who killed the other person.  So how is this opinion that the filmmakers of this piece of garbage schlock are being held accountable.

To get to the heart of that, one has to look at a new trend in America.  You see, there are two types of liberal in this country.  The first type of liberal is the kind who believes in fairness, giving power back to the people, and weeding our corruption.  They typically do not side with the Democrats, because they see them for the corporate slaves that they are.  Then there is the other type.  The type who wants nothing more than the help the Democrat Party, believe that these people are someday going to help them, and to make sure that nobody ever has hurt feelings.  As you can imagine, I don’t get along with this group very well.

After the video came out, large chunks of the American population came out in defense of Islam, saying that the filmmakers were in the wrong, and this was all their fault, and that Islam is a great religion, and nobody should ever be allowed their Free Speech rights to have an opinion about it.  That is what actual politicians in this country have said.  Don’t believe that?  Here is a quote from Hillary Clinton on the subject –

To us, to me personally, this video is disgusting and reprehensible.  It appears to have a deeply cynical purpose: to denigrate a great religion and to provoke rage.

Yeah, she is basically blaming the creators of this video for why four people were brutally murdered.  And while many liberals won’t come out and say it, the backlash against the video by the liberal community is amusing.  They are so dedicated to making sure that nobody is mad and nobody is upset that they are ignoring the glaring reality in the room – that this is what free speech is all about.  You will risk offending people.  You will risk making people mad.  You will risk people not liking what you say.  But in the end, the right to free speech is paramount, because if you censor what people can and cannot say, you are opening the door to a dictator taking advantage of that.  They will blanket it with being “politically correct,” but it is dictatorship all the same.

And now, another neat little PC liberal controversy has brewed after Lady Gaga went to a fashion show dressed in a burka-like outfit.  The idea being that she was making a point about how Muslim women are treated.

This needs to be addressed.  In Middle Eastern primarly-Muslim nations, it cannot be argued that women are treated as second-class citizens.  Don’t believe that?  Take a look at this link.  The Human Rights Watch has very good documentation about how primarily Muslim nations treat women in the Middle East, and it is abhorrent.  Yet because the PC liberal community doesn’t want to make Islam mad, there are people who will defend the idea that Lady Gaga is wrong.

Are liberals in this country just too afraid to stand up for anything anymore?  They won’t call Obama out on his lies, his manipulation, his expansion of the Bush Doctrine.  They won’t hold the Democrats feet to the fire for…anything.  Now, they are defending a group of people who, while not all of them are bad, it cannot be argued that many of them are zealots and that primarily Muslim nations have a disgusting mistreatment of women.  Anyone who will defend a group of people who mistreat women are scum.  that is what the PC liberal community is becoming – scum.  Scum who defends zealotry and misogyny.

Congratulations, you are becoming your own own worst enemy.  Now if you’ll excuse me, I am trying to go and fight for things that actually matter.

Lefty’s Special Comment: The Aurora, Colorado Massacre

I haven’t done one of these in a long time.  I haven’t thought about something this seriously in a long time.  After it happened, I did a post about the fact that before people even knew all the facts, they were jumping on the two major bandwagons that exist in this country.

The first bandwagon is the liberal one.  It says that this happened because there it is so easy to get guns.  If we make it harder for people to get guns, then these sorts of crimes won’t happen.  The second bandwagon is that if people had more guns, they could have stopped this.  That people with guns could have made a difference.

I want to be far more thorough in this special comment than I was in the other post.  Here’s the thing about the liberal argument – it’s lazy.  It is a lazy argument to say that if we get rid of guns, violent crimes will go away.  Because it deliberately ignores the investigation into why these things happen.  So many people just say, “he’s crazy.”  “The shooter was mentally ill.”  That is also lazy.  There seems to be a phobia among Americans when it comes to looking at things critically.

Violent crime doesn’t come from guns.  It has never come from guns.  Long before people had guns, people were killing people.  Of course, I am not one of those people who makes the argument that “guns don’t kill people, people kill people.”  That argument is as tired as it is weak.  But long before guns, murder was still happening.

The reasons why are many.  The first is because there is a part of human nature that is violent.  We are not beholden to it, but it is there all the same.  Before guns, we used swords.  The sword has killed just as many people, if not more, than a gun.  Before swords, primitive humans beat each other to death with clubs or primitive tools.  The violence of the human animal goes back to before we were human.  Violence is a part of nature.  And much as we like to deny it, we are animals.

The next reason is because there are a LOT of social problems in this country.  Before we look at regulating guns, here’s a thought – how about we end the drug war.  It is a safe bet that most violent crime in this country comes from the unbelievably stupid war on drugs, which is hugely tied into the existence of gangs and organized crime.  Where there is organized crime, there is violence.  These two things have gone hand in hand since day one.  If all drugs, not just marijuana, but everything was made legal, it could be controlled, taxed, and taken off the street.  You can bet that if all of the drug market was legal, the illegal market would be crushed in a matter of weeks.  In a matter of weeks, crime would drop because gangs would be put out of business.

If the liberals are going to argue for the making of having firearms illegal, then they have to be smarter about that.  Now, some liberals take a position that owning a gun should be a lot like getting a car.  I am not totally against that.  It is a fact that the regulations already in place are often ignored.  That is taking things from a measured perspective, but to say that we should outright ban them is foolish.

Another thing that must be taken into account is that how would getting rid of all guns be enforced?  It would be enforced by cops.  The police.  Honestly, the cops are far more dangerous than the average criminal.  The police have demonstrated, time and time again, how they will abuse authority and are accountable to nobody.  So, we want an armed and more and more violent force who has shown that cracking down on the public is not outside the purview of what is acceptable to have jurisdiction over what we keep in our homes?

Not only would the cops, who have been proven not to be trustworthy, have authority over average people, but if you take away people’s right to have something, guess what you create – a black market.  Another black market would be made, in addition to the one we have now.  Ironically, the one we have now would feed into this new one.  Neat little spiral of death, isn’t it?

Alright, so we’ve railed off on the liberals for a bit.  Don’t want to see one-sided.  The conservative position – that if all people had had guns, this wouldn’t have happened, is also flawed.

For one thing, it isn’t like people can’t get guns now.  Guns have less requirements to purchase than pretty much any other dangerous item in this country.  I am not for taking them away, but I have a great deal of respect for how dangerous these weapons are.  People in this country only have to go through a background check, and then they can have a weapon.

Here’s another thing – most theaters don’t have laws that prohibit people from having a weapon.  And plenty of people don’t listen to those laws anyway, just going where they go armed.  So, with that being said, would more weapons have made a difference here?  Well, if people could have guns, why didn’t they?  Why didn’t they shoot back at him?

The reason is because guns are dangerous.  They make loud noises.  They are known to kill people.  Most people don’t want to kill people.  Conservatives who talk about getting more guns have, and I think you can bet, almost never fired a gun at a real person before.  They have never had human life in their hands.  Being so cavalier about killing people is part of the problem of our culture.  We can talk about it easy as you like, but doing it?  That’s harder.

Here’s the reality – there is a lot of social change that needs to happen before we can even talk about gun laws.  And getting more guns to more people isn’t going to change things anyway.  But the real tragedy is that not one person is trying to get into the underlying issue that got us here.  Or rather, not one person who is in the mainstream media.  That’s how America is now.

It’s sad, really, when thinking about something is just too hard.

Lefty’s Outlook on the 2012 Election

Well, this post has been a long time coming.  Even given our opinion on politics at the moment, it is worth checking into where things stand right now.  This election year is an interesting one.  There are a lot of reasons why.

The first is that there are several truths that need to be analyzed when looking at the election.  The first is that the state of the American public right now is in shambles.  The middle class is rapidly disappearing, for a number of reasons.  The first is that the wages of this country have remained stagnant, while the cost of living in America has skyrocketed.  The next is that more and more students are walking away from college now with debt so high that they can’t realistically hope to get rid of it for the rest of their lives.  These debts are anchors around the people’s neck.  It is a bubble that is going to burst, because students can’t afford it, and eventually, they will just default out of these, the same way that the housing bubble burst because of default on sub-prime mortgages.

Then there is the job market.  It isn’t going anywhere.  The latest report that came out showed that the economy is going nowhere.  It is stagnated, and because the 99% of Americans are too afraid to invest and are holding tight to their money, businesses that aren’t massive corporations aren’t investing or are falling under, and the banks refuse to pay up, the government is passing legislation to cram massive amounts of money into the gaping hole that is our economy, never realizing that they are just putting off the inevitable.  And across the Atlantic, the EU is falling apart, barely being held together.  Because all the governments of the 1st world are owned by banks, the governments are being instructed to do nothing, and to not pass legislation that could get us out of the ditch.

Put simply, things are really, really bad for Americans right now.

So, with that in mind, what is the outlook for the 2012 election?  Who is going to win?  Well, to answer that, let’s look at the strategy of the presidential candidates thus far.

Mitt Romney has pretty much been doing what Republican candidates have been doing for the last 20 years.  Ever since Ronald Reagan, they are appealing to past glory.  Saying that we used to be so mighty, and we are going to be mighty again.  Basically, the argument is “Manifest Destiny.”  A cheap, overused argument that is so tired and worthless that people just don’t care about hearing it anymore.

Another problem is that Romney is basically using the same talking points as George W. Bush Jr.  And most of the American public blames the absolutely insane amounts of spending and the absolutely insane foreign policy that enabled that spending for this mess.  The economy nose-dived under Bush, and since Romney isn’t offering anything new, the people care about his message about the same.

Barack Obama, meanwhile, is doing just about the same thing, but with different language.  He has been appealing to the way things used to be, saying that with a little work, he can get things back on track for the way we were as a nation.

Here’s the problem with that strategy – people aren’t buying it.  People didn’t buy it when he said that “America is back,” and they aren’t buying that the good times are just around the corner.  There are Gallup polls showing that people think that the country is heading in the wrong direction.  The thing about it is – financially, they’re right.  He is now saying that hope and change is still the way out, but people aren’t buying that line either.

The public has lost faith.  Hopelessness and despair are setting in.  Obama blames the Republicans.  Republicans blame Obama.  The rest of us blame all of them and their pathetic adherence to Wall Street’s every whim.

As for a strategy for the election, the fact is that Obama is coasting on the weak change he’s gotten done, along with the Health Care Reform Act, one of the greatest cons in American history that the liberals are championing (read Matt Taibbi’s book, Griftopia, it is shows how obscene this new act is, along with how it is a complete sellout to the private insurance companies who have a stranglehold in medical care in this country).

Romney, in the meantime, has nothing.  He can’t run on immigration.  He can’t use Health Care Reform against Obama because he passed even more liberal (for how unbelievably conservative Obama’s Act is) legislation that actually included a public option (which is the only way this birthday present to the private insurance companies could have been worth something).  He can’t go against Obama on the economy because it will just be another back-and-forth blaming game between the two of them.

So, what will the election be about?  The same thing that all elections are about now – who America likes more.  That’s what elections are about now.  To Hell with what matters.  To Hell with political ideas.  It has simply become a popularity contest.

And that is why the American people can rest easy tonight.  Because the real truth is – it doesn’t matter.  No matter who you elect, this government will still be Wall Street’s slaves.  The military-industrial complex will still be fed with an endless supply of taxpayer dollars.  Nothing will change.  Not one damn thing.  So rest easy.  You are going to be screwed.

We all are.

Guns, Gun Control, and The Dark Knight Rises

One of the worst parts of society is how people will exploit just about anything if they think that it will get them ahead in a position that they have.  For real, anytime that there is an incident with guns, the left immediately runs to the “get rid of the guns!” argument.  And the right, meanwhile, runs to the “get more guns to people!” argument.  Both sides talk with such fervor and both sides are completely ignorant.

But it is absolutely, positively, every single time.  Every time that something with a gun happens, those are the only two arguments.  Virginia Tech shooting, those were the arguments.  Gabbie Giffords shooting, those were the arguments.  Columbine, those were the arguments.

Are people just afraid to examine the issues in a critical nature?  For real, instead of saying, “why did this happen?  What got these people to this point?  Were they mentally deranged?  Were they confused?  What happened?”  Instead of asking any of those questions, they decide to simply look at guns.

Case and point – at the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises,” in Aurora, Colorado, there was a man who came to the theater.  He was armed to the teeth and he opened fire on the people waiting to see the film.  He killed 12 people, injured 50 more.  The identity of the shooter hasn’t been released, by the making of this post.  But before we even know who did it, or why, the talking heads of the left and the right are assembling, ready to debate this.  And you know what the debates are?

The Left –

We need to get rid of guns!  If people didn’t have guns, this wouldn’t have happened!

The Right –

We need to get more guns!  If those people had had guns too, this wouldn’t have happened, because they could have shot back!

To both sides –

You’re idiots.

Let’s attack the liberal position on this first.  Do you really think that violence is going to stop if people don’t have guns?  Let’s take a look back through history.  Throughout history, people have been violent.  Before they had guns to kill people with, they were using swords.  Before swords, they used clubs.  That is because there is a part of the human animal that has propensity to kill other people.  We have a violent side to us.

Now, it isn’t like we are beholden to this side, but we have to acknowledge its existence.  But do the people who look at these tragedies do that?  No.  Of course not.  To do that means to shine a rather unflattering light on America and humanity itself, and we are such a self-pitying species that we can’t do that.  It’s just too hard.

But back to the issues – getting rid of guns isn’t going to stop violence.  In fact, getting rid of guns would create even more.  This is because if we ban guns, it would make another black market.  We already have one ridiculous and pointless black market with drugs.  We shouldn’t have any drugs illegal, because it is pointless and doesn’t help anything.  If it were legal, it could be controlled.  So, with one black market which leads to incredible amounts of senseless violence in the form of gang violence, you want to add another?  It would absolutely cause more harm than good.

And in the case of what happened at this theater, that man could have just as easily come into the place with a machete as he could with a gun and killed people.

To the Right – don’t you realize that these people already had the ability to have guns?  Most theaters don’t have a policy that says that you can’t bring in guns.  People have the ability to get a gun if they want to.  There really is nothing standing in the way of them getting a gun, other than a registration process that checks to see if you have a criminal history involving guns.

So, they could have had a gun and fired back at this guy.  Why didn’t they?  Because most people aren’t horribly violent and want to have guns on them to potentially kill an attacker.  Your obsession with people having guns really does confuse/annoy me, because it’s like you all don’t have a firm grasp on reality.  Well, you are conservative, so that isn’t too surprising.

It all comes down to this – America refuses to look at these issues like they are a bigger problem.  They want to simplify it down to “it’s guns.”  That’s lazy, ignorant, and stupid.

Wow, all terms to describe America.  Convenient.

Liberals and Obama in the 2012 Election

With the 2012 Presidential elections just around the corner, it has been fascinating to sit back and watch the liberal and conservative voices, both in the media and in person, talk.  I have been content not to join the choir, because honestly, this was all too interesting.  The conservative line is boring.  There is the endless schtick about Obama and the liberals.  You just learn to ignore that after a while.  Their war on women’s rights is far more pressing.

However, the real voice to pay attention to is the liberal perspective.  Truly, the left has been the far more engaging of political debates.  Now, just to get something clear, I am a far-left political idealist, more in line with socialism than liberal or progressive ways of thinking.  I, however, am not a supporter of President Obama.  Nor am I a supporter of Mitt Romney.  I believe voting is useless, because the system is rigged either way.

It seems that a lot of liberals think otherwise.  There are three fundamental arguments that I am hearing from the left about President Obama.  The first is that he is a good President who tried, but that he was continually obstructed by Republicans, and that is why he failed on so many of his campaign promises, or, well, doing anything substantially productive.  They seem to forget that the President not only continued Bush’s foreign policy, but expanded it.  He has more or less franchised GITMO, even though he promised that he would close it.  He has expanded the powers of the Patriot Act, even going so far as to bring the policy into effect allowing this government to outright call for the murder of a person without trial or charge or anything.  Just saying that they are a suspected terrorist, so we should kill them.

The second argument is that they will vote for Obama because the alternative is even worse.  Basically, taking the evil that they know over the one that they don’t.  They seem to forget that Mitt Romney is not going to win this election.  Moderates make up the bulk of this country’s voting population.  Either moderate-left or moderate-right, the fact is that 80% of this country’s vote is much more toward the middle, leaning one way on some issues, another way on others.  And the fact is that nobody likes Romney.  The moderate-right Republicans are just as sick of the insanity in their party as the liberals are, and they want a serious candidate (which they know he isn’t), and the moderate-left has seen the Republican Party’s war on women, and they aren’t going to jump on board.  The fact is that Romney was dead on arrival.  All of the Republican candidates are.  NONE of the Republican majority liked any of them.  They were asking the same question that I have been asking for months – where is the sane candidate?

The third argument is one that I find the most interesting – Obama didn’t do so well, but if we give him another chance, he’ll be able to finally deliver.  Where did this argument come from?  When is the bulk of this country going to realize that NONE of the political parties care about them?  Democrat or Republican, there isn’t a single group of politicians in this country on the American people’s side.  The only side they are on is the side that keeps them in power.  Right now, it’s Wall Street.  The reality is that there is no political group who cares what happens to the people of this country.  The American people serve only as the catalyst to get them into office.  Beyond that, they might as well not exist.

America’s problem goes far deeper than what most liberals seems to want to understand.  It’s not the corporations, or the Republicans.  It is the people.  The American people, and their acceptance of mediocrity, being lied to, and being pawns.  The self-indulgent and greedy culture that we surround ourselves with.  All of these things are why this country is falling apart.  Meanwhile, the 2012 elections are going to serve no purpose other than to show that this country won’t try something different, or won’t step out of the box.  Why vote third party when you can be slaves to the two big ones and follow them blindly?  Why demand something better when it is just easier to accept?

Why challenge, when it is easier to just be a slave and obey?

The Lost Liberal

What can a person be, if they are unaware of who they are?  This is a question that has rattled around the base of the mind since this evening.  The great question that probably all people have asked themselves since the moment that people began to question their own existence, and to ponder the greater existential meanings of all of the things that life has to offer.

A friend of mine offered the perspective that one can never truly know themselves, since a person changes on a day to day basis.  This seems like a more intelligent perspective than most.  Most people tend to think that by a certain age, they will or have got it all figured out.  This, however, seems to be rather simple-minded.  Life isn’t so simple that just one night of sitting like the famous statue by Auguste Rodin, deep in contemplation.

Perhaps it is a curse to look at the world and be able to see what is true.  The truth doesn’t set you free.  Seeing the reality of the political and cultural degeneration over time really makes finding the points that one is to be happy about increasingly difficult.  I will agree with perhaps 5 out of 100 positions that my political philosophy teacher makes, but he made a rather poignant one last class.

The problem with the liberal mentality is that unlike conservatives, which tell you how to operate and move toward a given direction, there is little to no group to it, except where the common interests are shared.  We are only allied to the point where our needs and desires intersect, and after that, there is very little true camaraderie between us.  That was a rather profound way to look at things.  We are not a true brotherhood.

The reality of our situation has begun to sink in, now that the end of the college road is staring us in the face.  The reality is that we have no idea where we are going, or what we are going to do.  It’s a cold feeling, when one feels this absolutely lost.  Our advisor said that we are going to fail at life, because we don’t have all this stuff under our belt.  Well, she was wrong about one part.  We do have a portfolio.  It grows a few times every week.

We are lost, in a sea of confusion and uncertainty.  There is so little opportunity to be able to get by in this country these days.  Jobs are getting more and more scarce, and the competition is heating up.  Not being the most competitive person has really stuck us in that sense.  Where do we go?  What do we do?  These are not easy questions to answer.

I could see us ending up working at some company, writing up manuals, editing business documents.  I am a damn good editor.  I have a gift at spotting the problems with a document, that go beyond just spelling and grammar.  Those are actually kind of immaterial in a lot of ways, because most people don’t notice them.  If the essence of your work is flawed, the rest is for nothing.  Whenever I am writing something, I know exactly what I am writing for, and who I am writing to.  That is why we got an A on the last paper for that Political Philosophy class.  To be able to see the end goal, the true skill of an editor is to get at the heart of what needs to be said, and how it can be said.  Of course, spelling is another nice skill too.

There was also the idea that we could write about what we write about here – politics.  There is a mixed blessing in being informed.  To truly see what is going on is to accept the absolute ugliness of it.  To present things, after careful consideration.  You see, facts are meaningless.  William Faulkner once said, “Facts and truth really don’t have much to do with each other.”  Any news group who gives you the facts, without any interpretation of what this all means, is just lying to you.  Of course, given our health problems, and the need for the green pieces of paper, writing biased work doesn’t present itself as too much of a problem, though that would be a last resort.

But the truth is, we are a lost liberal, drifting down this ocean of uncertainty and doubt.  We are a good writer.  We know this.  But, if that isn’t enough.  If having a passion for the truth, and a passion for following what fewer and fewer people care about isn’t enough to get by in this world, what can one do?

Maybe Fox News is hiring.  I could sell my soul for some serious dough.

Peace out,

Maverick

Liberals are Nazis! And other cheap tricks to get their base to the polls

Remember the good old days, when the increasingly irrelevant Glenn Beck was on the air and he was talking about how the liberals were going to start FEMA death camps and how the socials marxist communists were going to come for your guns and have euthanasia be required?  Well, those sorts of conversations still go on all over the country.  Fox News has been carrying the torch for the “liberals are coming for you” rhetoric.

Of course, the reason why they are using this rhetoric is simple – to get their base to the polls.  George Bush II won the 2004 elections because Karl Rove was a brilliant tactician (along with Kerry not calling Bush out, at all) who used the bigotry of these people as a weapon, by bringing up gay marriage in states that everyone knew weren’t going to pass it.  Much like Prop. 5 here in Anchorage, once you say the word “gay,” the bigots flock to make sure their bigoted opinions are known.

However, there is a problem in the Republican Party.  The base is dying.  They have alienated almost every single group.  Minorities, for the most part, left their bandwagon years ago.  The LGBT community won’t have anything to do with them.  The latest war on women has officially gotten them away from the party too.  So, if you only have middle to senior-aged white men as your base, what do you do?  The answer is easy – subvert democracy by rigging voting.

Voter suppression is nothing new in America, of course.  Back when this country was founded, only the wealthy white men got to vote.  Minorities and women were fresh out of luck there.  And there are plenty of Republicans who are trying to get back to that.  Don’t believe me?  Well, the evidence speaks for itself.

34 states have passed or are working to pass laws that make it so that voters have to show photo IDs.  15 states have passed or are working to pass laws that say you have to have your birth certificate or passport to be able to vote.  16 states have or are working to pass laws would end same-day voter registration. 9 states have passed or are working to pass laws to end early voting.  4 states are working to pass laws to get rid, outright, of absentee voting.  3 states have passed laws that restrict voter registration drives.  All of this work has been done in the last year.

The mission goal is pretty clear – stop people from getting to the polls.  Their tactics are decisive and swift.  This isn’t something that can be debated, because we are seeing it happen now.  Over 21% of Americans don’t have government-issued ID’s.  The bulk of the people who don’t are minorities, the elderly, and college students.  Care to guess where most of them vote?  They generally vote liberal.

It has even been seen on a scale that nobody pays attention to.  Here in Anchorage, Alaska, the latest municipal election was obviously a fraud.  The voting booths ran out of ballots is how it all went down.  However, in spite of this clear violation of the law, there aren’t going to be new elections, or even an outside investigation.  The Assembly simply decided to accept what has happened, and are telling everybody to basically just move on.  This is unacceptable.

However, it is efficient, and in a country where the conservative party is rapidly dying on its feet, this is what it has to do in order to maintain power.  They know that they can’t win this upcoming presidential election on fair terms, because not only will the disheartened liberals like myself side with Obama out of the principle of not having Romney put in office, but the GOP voters at large have no love for Romney, since he has proven that he is a flip-flopping croney capitalist who doesn’t believe in anything.

This is what the future of America is looking like.  Instead of politics being a rational and reasonable discussion of values and what is to happen next, we instead get to listen to rhetoric on one side that liberals are all nazis coming to kill you, and conservatives are…well, actually, the rhetoric about them is true.

They want to subvert democracy to keep themselves in power, and the money flowing into only a few people’s hands.

Peace out,

Lefty
